Wisdom & Folly

Solomon was a king over a thousand years ago. Jedidiah or Solomon was the son of David. His words recorded in the bible speak of wisdom and folly. To consider such is proves a search for meaning and truth. What is wisdom? Where can I find it? What may define Folly? Folly is a lack of good sense. To show foolishness is to show folly. Nobody wants to act a fool, I don't think. We see in the bible wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord. To know him is to understand. Anything good is wise. Anything bad is folly. Solomon reminds us that wisdom is how we speak. We are to be careful with our words. To build up. Wisdom is also found in righteousness.

Reading about wisdom provides wisdom. Something I needed to read this morning; Proverbs 10:4 "Lazy hands make for poverty, but dilligent hands bring wealth". We should be active. Continuously working for the glory of God. He may provide wealth. Wealth comes in many forms not limited to a paycheck. An abundance of love and peace is plenty for me.

My prayer today Lord give me the strength to have active and dilligent hands. I want to work for your glory. To produce the fruit of the spirit. I love you. Amen.
